　　出身低的Bill Withers尚未出道前,白天就在飞机公司上班，晚上则在家录Demo寄到各唱片公司,一直要到32岁，Bill Withers才开始了他的演艺生涯,而Bill Withers一点都不隐蔽过去，他的另外一首更广为人知的代表作"Lean On Me"，歌中主题正是他与飞机公司同事的情谊"Lean On Me"出自Bill Withers的第二张专辑「Still Bill,同样也是获得了葛莱美奖的最佳R&B歌曲,并蝉连全美销售冠军长达三个礼拜,甚至在1981年由Morgan Free演出的电影「Lean On Me」(Movie)(IMDb给予7.0的高评价)中既是电影名称也是主题曲。
