美国警方透露，本周五中午一名枪手在加州圣莫尼卡市的一所学校外围随意开枪扫射，目前已经导致至少6人死亡。据悉，圣莫尼卡学院（SouthernCalifornia's Santa Monica College）是一所两年制学院，约有34000名学生。
据美联社报道，枪手一身黑衣打扮，先是在一所住房内杀死两人（稍后被证实为凶手父亲与兄弟），随后点燃自家房屋，之后他穿越几条街道前往校园，途中再次开枪致两人死亡，到达校园后又有两人遇难。
警方称这名男子前往校园行凶前杀死自己的父亲和兄弟，该男子年龄介于20-30岁出头，配备一把AR-15冲锋枪，全副武装，并身着防弹背心。目前，这名男子已经被警方在校园图书馆附近击毙。
