Intern IT (m/f/d) Location:  RAUNHEIM, HE
Responsibilities: User Support & Maintenance:
Respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems, and develop solutions
Support PC hardware, desktop OS software, and application software
Perform minor equipment repairs and coordinate for other servicing needs
Develop and provide user training for basic hardware and software use
Record activities, solutions, and other responses to requests for service
System & Software Management:
Monitor antivirus software and updates, repairing computers affected by malicious software
Assist in refining and implementing information security policies and regulations, and actively contribute to information security systems and data protection projects
Monitor backup systems and procedures to ensure data integrity
Contribute to [Company's] technical documentation, participate in policy, procedure, and standards development
Assist users in determining appropriate software solutions for their needs
Consult with vendors, conduct research, and evaluate products for equipment purchase or system upgrades
Provide backup technical support for network components, including routers, firewalls, and wireless access points
Collaboration & Communication:
Maintain open communication and foster a positive working relationship with staff
Promote a digital-first approach in R&D through automation and process optimization
Identify and report system issues to vendors, actively monitoring and testing issue resolutions
Contribute to the maintenance of equipment inventory records and documentation
Undertake any other tasks assigned by the line manager
Requirements: Enrollment in a German university or a university for applied science (Fachhochschule) with a major in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
Good understanding of computer network cabling and network file and print services
Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, and Linux variants like Ubuntu
Competency in software applications like Microsoft Office
Skilled in at least one programming language, e.g., Python or Javascript, and familiarity with scripting languages like Bash or Powershell
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in a high-performance team environment
Strong oral and written communication skills, preferably in English and German. Mandarin proficiency is a plus

Flexible regarding travels in Germany and Netherland
