近日，美国有线电视新闻网（CNN）主持人卡弗蒂在某节目中发表攻击中国的言论，称“中国产品是垃圾”，“在过去50年里中国人基本上一直是一帮暴民和匪徒”。针对这一言论，我国外交部发言人姜瑜15日在答记者问时表示，中方对CNN主持人卡弗蒂发表恶毒攻击中国人民的言论表示震惊和强烈谴责，同时严正要求CNN和卡弗蒂本人收回其恶劣言论，向全体中国人民道歉。

9 r/ `* j. Y; R1 ^8 `9 Y    Jack（卡弗蒂）：嗯，我不知道中国是否有些不同，但是我们和中国的关系肯定是不同的。因为伊拉克战争的原因，我们欠了中国很多债。他们现在持有价值几千亿美元我们的债券，在我们继续进口他们含铅颜料的垃圾以及有毒食品的同时，我们和他们之间还存在几千亿美元的贸易逆差。你知道，在那些你可以一个月付工人一美元工资的地方，生产出了你从沃尔玛买到的东西。因此我认为我们和中国的关系显然已经改变了。我认为他们基本上是和50年前一样的，一帮暴民和匪徒。

    Jack：Well, I don’t know if China is any different, but our

the Chinese up to our eyeballs because of the war in Iraq, for one
8 _2 i. l, ?) ~. u# z( xthing. They're holding hundreds of billions of dollars worth of our
. s# Y! u" P* W0 Dpaper. We are also running hundreds of billions of dollars' worth of
trade deficits with them, as we continue to import their junk
& h7 Y9 H9 D) U) C0 M3 ^+ D" F% x with the lead paint on them and the poisonous food; and
7 H; R( }; `4 {9 K5 b9 O2 Rexport, you know, jobs to places where you can pay workers a
dollar a month to turn out the stuff that we're buying from
9 r2 F" O1 f4 S. z+ yWalmart. So I think our relationship with China has certainly changed.

they’ve been for the last 50 years.
